About the property:
The bungalow was completely refurbished in 2007 and has 2 twin-bedded bedrooms and a spacious living /dining area (with sofa bed if required - maximum occupancy 6 people). The kitchen has cooker, microwave etc but eating out is such a great part of your holiday in Corralejo that you may not use it much! The bathroom offers a choice of both bath and shower. Outside there are two sunny patio areas with table chairs and sunbeds . The pretty gardens and good sized pool are just a few steps away. No 14 is on a quiet corner site with direct access to on street parking so ideal for the windsurfer or surfer wanting to take kit to the beach!. The accommodation is cleaned prior to your arrival and then weekly. Linen is included and extra towels are supplied for a midweek change. There is a small safe available for valuables which we recommend you use. Bedroom windows do have attractive external wrought iron security bars and misquito netting. As this is our holiday home you will also find extras such as a music centre and CD', good supply of books, board games etc which you are welcome to use.
Recommendations / Local Activity:
Excellent beaches so ideal for the sun-lover or water-sports enthusiast. See our web-site for more details and links Beaches
Beaches are everywhere! From the apartment about 50 yards across the road to the path beside the sea and a small sandy beach. About 500 yards left to the very pleasant main town beach or turn right and walk for about 20 minutes to get to Flag beach which is a main area for watersports If you have a car other nice beaches that you will pass on the way up from the airport or go across to Cotillo on the top left of the island. If you want to explore the south of the island its about a 1hr .30 min drive down to Playa de Sotovento de Jandia and onwards which are the main beaches in the south.

Supermarkets/shops
A shopping complex El Campanero is very nearby (open 8 am - until 10 pm with a supermarket on the far side. There are good views of the island from the bell tower ( El Campanero meas the bells) and you can get up there up stairs in the centre of the shopping centre. There is a canarian market in the shopping centre on Sundays - 12 -2 selling crafts and gifts. Water is desalinated so although safe to dring we tend to buy bottled water for making tea coffee etc as otherwise the taste is not so good and it furs up the kettle!
The town centre with its many shops and resturants is about 500m and there is a lovely beach-side walk all the way down to the harbour and old town
Resturants and bars
Lots of fantastic restaurants and there is a guide in the information pack in the apartment. A few of our favourites are listed below:
Wakiki – on the beach (main town beach) – great for snacks during the day and has a good menu choice as well as fantastic views (ask for a window seat or sit outside as can otherwise get hot) Specialties are the gypsy’s hats where you cook your own raw meat on a burner
Avenidas – fantastic value used by the locals but discovered by lots of us holiday makers – can get busy but worth waiting for a table as they turn over quite quickly. Its up in thew Bristol area on the corner of Calle Pejin and General Prim Best king prawns in town! Say if you don’t like garlic as you get lots as standard. Generous portions of fresh fish or meat! Great paellas
A great café called Da Uli that does very cheap but great quality Italian food to eat in or take away on Calle Crucero which is left hand side of main street
5th Avenue is a very nice resturant run by english people - great steaks and the best desserts in town! Its on Calle Antonio Hdez Paez (turn left just before end of main street
Mediterrano - is another very nice italian resturant (Calle Lepanto). Turn left and go up hill at bottom of main street (Shell Garage ahead of you and on right as you go up towards the resturant
El Analuz (near Rogues gallery on Calle la Ballena ) small and a liitle more expensive but very nice resturant you will probably need to call in and book for a subsequent night as they get quite busy.
Plus there is an endless supply of really good restuarants and cafes to suit all pockets which you will find anyway along the main street and just off it! Food and drink is good value so eating out is a nice part of the holiday

Estrella Del Mar Corralejo

About: Corralejo

Corralejo is roughly 2 miles (3.2km) sqaure and based around the old harbour where local fishermen can be seen fishing from the harbour wall.
Pleasure cruises and a ferry service run from the marina at Corralejo to the small island of Lobos and to Playa Blanca in the south of the island of Lanzarote.
Corralejo is as popular with the Spanish as it is with the British and the harbour area is a hive of activity. The promenade is lined with some great shops, restaurants and cafes while the rest of the town is crammed with craft stalls and specialist shops.

Corralejo has mile upon mile of beautiful sandy beach and hugh sand dunes and on most days the small island of Lobos and the island of Lanzarote can be seen from the beaches of Corralejo. Fuerteventura is pretty relaxed on naturism and a popular beach with naturists is the beach at Playa de Pozo. Nauturist usually stay away from the main resorts so not to offend others.

It takes approximately 40 minutes from Fuerteventura airport to Corralejo. The number 3 bus runs from the airport into the capital Puerto del Rosario, where a change to the number 6 bus will take you on to Corralejo.

Corralejo is is ideally located for popular wind/water sports activities - Surfing, Windsurfing and Kite Boarding and also has a water park nearby called Baku. Other activities include hiking, mountain biking, trike tours, Buggy Tours and excursions as well as quad bike tours.
